Features

The 1000 UNIVERSAL hammer mill is the largest model among those produced by Peruzzo, both in terms of size and hourly capacity. Perfect for large cattle farms and biogas plants, the mill is particularly suitable for the production of corn mash with moisture from 32 to 35%. It grinds cereals and, thanks to its screw extraction system, is able to produce both dry and wet flours. With low noise emissions and low dust emissions, this mill stands out for its innovation. The swivel auger allows the unloading height to be adjusted manually, facilitating direct unloading of the product onto unifeed wagons. In addition, the large rotor and the self-ventilating pulley prevent the flours from overheating, preserving their original characteristics.

FAQ / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does a grain mill work?

L
K

The operation of a grain mill can vary depending on the specific type of mill:
Cereal feeding: The cereals are introduced into the mill via a hopper.
Grinding: The mill is equipped with hammers that rotate at high speed. These hammers crush the grains into smaller particles.
Sieving: The particles are then passed through a sieve to separate to the desired size.
Flour collection: The ground particles are collected in a container.

How is the grain grinding mill made?

L
K

Structure and Components of a Hammer Mill Feed hopper: The upper part of the mill where the grains are introduced. Grinding chamber: Contains the rotating hammers that carry out the grinding. Hammers: Metal elements mounted on a rotating shaft that crush grain. Sieve or grid: Filter that allows only particles ground to the desired size to pass through. Motor: Provides the energy needed to rotate the hammers. Discharge duct: Where the ground flour is collected.

What are the advantages of using hammer mills for grinding cereals?

L
K

What are the advantages of using hammer mills for grinding cereals? Hammer mills have various advantages for grinding grains, making them a popular choice in many industrial and agricultural applications. Here are some of the main advantages:

Versatility: Hammer mills can grind not only grains such as wheat, corn, barley, and oats, but also other materials such as spices, herbs, and fibrous materials.
Adaptability: They can be used to produce a wide range of particle sizes, from coarse particles to fine powders, simply by changing the sieve or screen.
High Production Capacity: Hammer mills can grind large quantities of grain in a relatively short time, making them ideal for large-scale operations.
Energy Efficiency: They can be very energy efficient compared to other types of mills, particularly when they are well designed and maintained.
Simple Design: The construction of a hammer mill is relatively simple, which makes these devices easy to build and maintain.
Robustness: They are generally very robust and durable, able to resist wear and tear even when used in harsh environments.
Easy Maintenance: The components of a hammer mill, such as the hammers themselves and the screens, are relatively easy to replace and do not require complex maintenance.
Controlled particle size: The size of the final particles can be precisely controlled by changing the sieve or screen, allowing you to obtain the desired product with precise specifications.
Uniformity: Although they do not always achieve the uniformity of roller mills, hammer mills can produce a particle size distribution uniform enough for many applications.
Quick Adjustment: You can quickly change the mill configuration (for example, replacing the sieve) to adapt to different grinding needs, making the process more flexible.
